Don’t Pity A Shelter Dog: Adopt One

This is one of my favorite ads of all time. Not only because it spotlights the dignity of the wonderful dogs who through no fault of their own end up in shelters and rescue organizations every year, but also raises awareness to the fact that is the fate of more than four million dogs – and that nearly half of them never find a place to call home. The PEDIGREE Foundation mission is to help those dogs by providing grants to shelters and rescue groups and by encouraging dog adoption.

This year the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive Foundation is also helping homeless dogs by donating a bowl of food to shelter dogs for everyone who becomes a Fan or Likes the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive on Facebook. So far more than 1 million bowls have been donated and the goal is for Pedigree to be able to give a bowl of food to each one of the 4 million dogs in shelters and rescues by the end of the year.

To add more kibbles to the bowl, the Pedigree BlogPaws bloggers are hosting a Blog Hop to help raise awareness for the “Write a post, help a dog” effort. For each post about the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive from September 16th though September 19th, PEDIGREE will donate a 20 pound bag of their new Healthy Longevity Food for dogs in shelters nationwide. It is that easy: write a post, help a dog. Just make sure to link your post to one of the Pedigree BlogPaws members’ sites, like Life With Dogs or Two Little Cavaliers.

Please note that links left at this post will not count. They must be entered into the link list here.
